Negotiating pay when I have been out of work - first time posting

I do not know whether to give a range or ask for theirs. There are 13 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I do not want to price myself out. Does giving a range hurt?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
