Negotiating pay when I have been out of work - first time posting

I have been out of work for 8 weeks and feel pressure to accept less. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I also do not want to sell myself short. How do you research fairly?

Benefits matter too. A slightly lower rate with better coverage was better for me.
