Negotiating pay when I have been out of work, data-entry clerk here

Hiro Eriksen · 2026-08-24T07:15:54.079Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a data-entry clerk. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I looked up ranges in Portland and they vary a lot. How do you research fairly?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
