Negotiating pay when I have been out of work after 4 years as a copywriter

Sofia Kowalski · 2026-04-29T02:03:00.814Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a copywriter. I looked up ranges in Raleigh and they vary a lot. How do you research fairly?

Check several sources for pay in Raleigh, then pick a range where the low end is one you can live with.
