Negotiating pay when I have been out of work, accountant here

Priya Whitfield · 2026-08-24T00:20:11.652Z

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as an accountant. I looked up ranges in Tucson and they vary a lot. What did you say?

Asking about the range for the role first worked for me. Some recruiters share it.
