Negotiating pay when I have been out of work - 5 months and counting

I have been out of work for 23 weeks and feel pressure to accept less. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I also do not want to sell myself short. Does giving a range hurt?

Benefits matter too. A slightly lower rate with better coverage was better for me.
