Negotiating pay when I have been out of work - 12 weeks in

I do not know whether to give a range or ask for theirs. It has been weighing on me all week. I also do not want to sell myself short. What did you say?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
