Negotiating an offer, is it too late? - what worked for you?

It is the first offer in 10 months and I do not want to mess it up. I worked as a customer-service rep before this. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did you negotiate?

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.
