Negotiating an offer, is it too late? - what worked for you?

It is the first offer in 3 months and I do not want to mess it up. I am in Jacksonville, in case local advice matters. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did you negotiate?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Ask about the range, not a number on its own. It felt more collaborative.
