Negotiating an offer, is it too late? - what worked for you?

I received an offer as a janitorial supervisor and I think the pay is a little low. It has been a long 26 weeks. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did you negotiate?

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
