Negotiating an offer, is it too late? (Hartford)

I received an offer as a welding apprentice and I think the pay is a little low. I worked as a welding apprentice before this. I have a competing interview next week. Did you negotiate?

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
