Negotiating an offer, is it too late? - first time posting

I received an offer as a school bus driver and I think the pay is a little low. I have a competing interview next week. What wording worked?

Ask about the range, not a number on its own. It felt more collaborative.

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.
