Negotiating an offer, is it too late? - first time posting

I want to negotiate but I am afraid they will withdraw. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a competing interview next week. What wording worked?

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.

Ask about the range, not a number on its own. It felt more collaborative.
