Negotiating an offer, is it too late? - any advice?

It is the first offer in 4 months and I do not want to mess it up. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did you negotiate?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Ask about the range, not a number on its own. It felt more collaborative.
