Negotiating an offer, is it too late? after 9 years as a payroll clerk

It is the first offer in 8 months and I do not want to mess it up. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a competing interview next week.

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.

Ask about the range, not a number on its own. It felt more collaborative.
