Negotiating an offer, is it too late? after 4 years as a home health aide

It is the first offer in 7 months and I do not want to mess it up. I am in Spokane, in case local advice matters. The hiring manager was friendly and open. What wording worked?

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
