Negotiating an offer, is it too late?

I received an offer as a bookkeeper and I think the pay is a little low. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a competing interview next week. Did you negotiate?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
