Negotiating an offer, is it too late? - 24 weeks in

It is the first offer in 6 months and I do not want to mess it up. Any experience at all would help. The benefits are decent. What wording worked?

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.
