Interview nerves, what actually helps? (Richmond)

It has been 7 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. The role is similar to my old job as a mechanic. How do you prepare answers?

Prepare three stories with a clear beginning, action and result, and adapt them to the questions.

I record myself on my phone and listen back. The second try is always better than the first.
