Interview nerves, what actually helps? after 5 years as an IT help-desk technician

It has been 8 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. It has been a long 26 weeks. The role is similar to my old job as an IT help-desk technician. How do you prepare answers?

Arrive early, drink water and take a slow breath before you walk in. It sounds simple but it helps.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
