Interview nerves, what actually helps? after 18 years as a machine operator

It has been 6 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. It has been a long 12 weeks. I want to come across as confident and honest. How do you prepare answers?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Prepare three stories with a clear beginning, action and result, and adapt them to the questions.
