Interview nerves, what actually helps? after 17 years as a machine operator

It has been 8 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. Any experience at all would help. I want to come across as confident and honest. Any questions to ask at the end?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
