Interview nerves, what actually helps? after 12 years as a teaching assistant

It has been 7 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The role is similar to my old job as a teaching assistant. How do you prepare answers?

Arrive early, drink water and take a slow breath before you walk in. It sounds simple but it helps.
