Interview nerves, what actually helps? - 14 months and counting

It has been 14 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The role is similar to my old job as an IT help-desk technician. How do you prepare answers?

I record myself on my phone and listen back. The second try is always better than the first.
