Interview nerves, what actually helps? - 11 months and counting

It has been 11 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have practised answers but they sound stiff. How do you prepare answers?

I record myself on my phone and listen back. The second try is always better than the first.
