I freeze in interviews, tips?, security officer here

It has been 8 months since my last interview and I feel rusty. I am in Detroit, in case local advice matters. I have practised answers but they sound stiff. What calms you down?

I record myself on my phone and listen back. The second try is always better than the first.

Arrive early, drink water and take a slow breath before you walk in. It sounds simple but it helps.
