How much room is there after an offer? - what worked for you?

It is the first offer in 13 months and I do not want to mess it up. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did you negotiate?

If they say no, consider asking for something else, such as a review in six months.

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
