How much room is there after an offer? (update)

I received an offer as an accounts payable clerk and I think the pay is a little low. There are 13 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The hiring manager was friendly and open. Did you negotiate?

Most employers expect a short conversation. Mine did not even blink.
