How much room is there after an offer? - any advice?

I received an offer as a medical assistant and I think the pay is a little low. It has been a long 8 weeks. The hiring manager was friendly and open.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
