How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? (update)

I took time out to care for a family member after working as a project coordinator. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have done some volunteering and a course during that time.

Keep your skills fresh and mention anything recent. It shows momentum.

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.
