How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? - first time posting

I have been out of work for 9 months and worry about the gap. I worked as a school bus driver before this. I am not sure how much to explain. Did anyone get past it?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
