How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? - first time posting

My résumé shows a gap from a layoff and some health issues. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am nervous about being filtered out.

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.

Keep your skills fresh and mention anything recent. It shows momentum.
