How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? - first time posting

I have been out of work for 7 months and worry about the gap. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I am nervous about being filtered out. Did anyone get past it?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
