How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? after 7 years as an operations analyst

I took time out to care for a family member after working as an operations analyst. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have done some volunteering and a course during that time.

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
