How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? after 7 years as a janitorial supervisor

I took time out to care for a family member after working as a janitorial supervisor. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am nervous about being filtered out. Did anyone get past it?

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.
