How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? after 4 years as a customer-service rep

I took time out to care for a family member after working as a customer-service rep. I worked as a customer-service rep before this. I am nervous about being filtered out. What do you say in interviews?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
