How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? after 3 years as a production planner

I have been out of work for 11 months and worry about the gap. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am nervous about being filtered out. Did anyone get past it?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
