How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? after 18 years as a warehouse supervisor

I have been out of work for 12 months and worry about the gap. I am in Oklahoma City, in case local advice matters. I am not sure how much to explain.

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.
