How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? after 14 years as a procurement assistant

I took time out to care for a family member after working as a procurement assistant. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have done some volunteering and a course during that time. Did anyone get past it?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
