How do I handle a long gap on my résumé? - 6 months and counting

I took time out to care for a family member after working as a logistics coordinator. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am not sure how much to explain. Did anyone get past it?

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.

Keep your skills fresh and mention anything recent. It shows momentum.
