How do I ask for an informational chat? - any advice?

Yuki Oyelaran · 2026-08-02T19:27:33.108Z

I sent 6 messages on a professional network and got two replies. I worked as a forklift operator before this. Some people reply with short answers. How do you phrase the request?

Follow up with a thank-you and a short update. One of my chats led to a referral a month later.
