How do I ask for an informational chat? - any advice?

Taylor Delacroix · 2026-08-26T01:26:46.640Z

I sent 8 messages on a professional network and got two replies. I am in Baltimore, in case local advice matters. I want advice, not a job directly. What did you ask?

Follow up with a thank-you and a short update. One of my chats led to a referral a month later.
