Going back after 9 months at home

I stepped out for 9 months to care for a family member and now want to return. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am unsure how to describe the break.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
