Going back after 9 months at home - 6 weeks in

I stepped out for 9 months to care for a family member and now want to return. I am in Portland, in case local advice matters. I am unsure how to describe the break. How did you get back in?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
