Going back after 6 months at home (update)

I stepped out for 6 months to care for a family member and now want to return. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am unsure how to describe the break.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
