Going back after 6 months at home after 11 years as a quality inspector

I stepped out for 6 months to care for a family member and now want to return. I am in Madison, in case local advice matters. I am unsure how to describe the break. Are there returnship programmes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
