Going back after 2 months at home - any advice?

I stepped out for 2 months to care for a family member and now want to return. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am unsure how to describe the break. Are there returnship programmes?

Some employers run returnship programmes. Search for them in Sacramento.
