Getting references after a company closes (update)

Aisha Petrov · 2026-07-30T02:30:04.852Z

I worry a reference will only confirm dates of employment. There are 11 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. HR only confirms titles and dates. Is a client acceptable?

Use a professional network to find a former manager. Many will still write a note.
