Getting references after a company closes

My manager was laid off too and I am unsure who to use as a reference. It has been a long 2 weeks. HR only confirms titles and dates. Who did you use?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
