Getting references after a company closes - any advice?

Chidi Voss · 2026-04-12T19:13:37.404Z

The company closed and I am not sure how to reach former colleagues. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. HR only confirms titles and dates. Is a client acceptable?

I kept a note of my results so my references could be specific. They appreciated it.

A client reference worked well for me. It shows you deliver outside the company too.
